It’s that you didn’t have a path to get there. It’s that you didn’t have a community to run with. Whether it’s weight loss, fitness, building a business, manifesting or fixing a relationship, or finding inner peace, figure out how to have FUN doing it. Here are some ways to make that happen…

Giving In A Snowstorm

Real magic comes from giving, without the expectation of receiving back. The story of unexpected help with a driveway full of snow. When you open up your heart to helping others, the Universe responds. You become attractive to forces that want you to manifest great things. Works every time - as long as you give it the time it needs. Enjoy!

A Triple Shot of Manifestation Magic!!!

To my NO MORE HOLDING BACK Friends,

Pour yourself a cup of something warm (unless you’re Jack and Alexis in  Costa Rica, in which case you should pour something cool).  I’ve got three things to share with you.  Will take a few minutes, but it’ll be worth it.

1.  MANIFEST MASTERMIND!

What happens when you take your desires…

(not the “gee, I’d like to make some extra money/get healthier/attract a lover/insert your own” desire…

but your WHITE HOT, I’M COMMITTED TO MAKING IT HAPPEN, EVEN IF I HAVE TO STEP WAAAAAAAAAY OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE desire…)

and get serious about picking up the ATTITUDES and SKILLS of people who have already done what you’re doing?

Chances are you wind up aligning with a community that makes that happen.

That’s just what I did.

MANIFEST MASTERMIND.

Tru dat! Brian Campbell and Steve Pohlit are in alignment with the way I think and feel about manifesting the things we REALLY REALLY want. So are the other folks who make up part of the community.

And that’s what it is…. a community of people who dream, share, laugh and learn together…

and then MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Wanna come play with us? Get the free course.

Jump in! The water’s warm!

“…and I Mean That With All The Love In My Heart.”

A fun expression we use in our house quite a bit.
.
Of course we say it when we’ve just dropped a piano on someone’s head, or at least stepped on a toe or two.  Supposedly, it’s to cushion the blow for whatever came before it, or is about to come.
.
I like that expression.  It’s fun to say.  Because most of the time when our family uses it amongst each other it’s in good fun.  I’ll use it on somone when I’m about to say something about their singing skills.  And they’ll use it on me after a comment about my fashion sense.
.
Here’s the cool thing…there’s very little real antagonism that goes on.  So if we’re having a real disagreement it can get serious, but quiet.  Sometimes we’ll use that expression and really mean it.  “I love you.  You’re magnificent.  Now here’s what I hate about what you’re doing.”
.
And every once in a while I use it outside the family.  It’s a great way of throwing someone off balance - getting them to hear you in a way they might not.
.
Most difficult conversations don’t have the words “with all the love in my heart” in them.
.
But when they do it forces the listener to pay closer attention than they might normally.
.
AND…I don’t use it unless there really is love in my heart.
.
Fortunately there almost always is, even when it isn’t focused on the person I’m discussing with in that moment.
.
Try this little gem of an expression when the circumstances seem right.  See if it lightens things up, or puts things into a clearer and better focus.
.
With All The Love In My Heart,
Larry

Pressure and Time

December 10, 2008 by Larry · Leave a Comment

One of my favorite movies is The Shawshank Redemption. It’s about a man who is falsely imprisoned for murdering his wife.

Andy, the main character did everything he could over the twenty years of time in which the movie took place to keep his dignity and sanity. He carved chess pieces out of rocks. He helped build a prison library. And he studied geology. His friend Red, played by Morgan Freeman (who is also the movie’s narrator) noted geology is the study of pressure and time.

It’s true. I won’t give away the ending of the movie in case you haven’t seen it and want to. But Andy very much conducted his life based on the pressure on him and time allotted.

We’re very much creatures in that same mold. Much of our pressure is external. Bills must get paid, appointments must be kept, dinners must be cooked, etc. Modern life exerts its own stresses on us.

And most people won’t go past that point of pressure. It’s enough. They feel the pull of time, the march toward closure. At some point they reckon they will die and meet whatever is next after this experience. They may as well have a good time in the meanwhile, and try to behave well on the Earth plane in case they are to be judged afterward.

If you have chosen to read this article, you probably have a different kind of pressure, like Andy did. The pressure of living out the genius, your music, your purpose, choose whatever word works for you. That thing that’s yearning to come out.

Expressing your sacred self. That’s a phrase I like.

The pressure builds. And it pushes you to do things you hadn’t found the courage to do before.

You’re in a community of people with extraordinarily high vibrations. You’ve GOTTA make it happen. The pressure of living out your dream, coupled with the pressure of living up to the standard here is enormous.

Time? Things go in their own time, which has nothing to do with our very limited perspective. This marvelous planet we live on evolved over billions of years. You took around 40 weeks to finish cooking inside your mother.

We accelerate the process a little bit when we plug into better surroundings and role models. Like the environment and people right here.

Time does what time does. Honor it. It got you into the present moment with all the pressure of desire for something good and new and harmonious.

Bless the pressure. Bless the time.

With much appreciation,
Larry

The Hidden Beauty of Black Friday

November 30, 2008 by Larry · Leave a Comment
Filed under: Law of Attraction

I’m writing this on Sunday morning, a couple of days after a few tragic incidents on “Black Friday.”  For those of you not in the United States, this is the day after the American Thanksgiving holiday when many stores offer sales with deeply discounted items.  These sales have become a phenomenon over the past few years, with stores opening at 5:00 am and people lining up the night before to buy a very limited quantity of deeply discounted items.

In New York a Walmart employee was trampled to death by the oncoming crowd as the doors opened.  And in California a customer shot and killed two people in an apparent rage about some item that was in high demand.

Many people are prepared to take these two incidents and use them as a symbol of everything that is going wrong in the world.  I’d like to offer a completely different perspective: I think this is a time to recognize just how essentially right things really are.

***   ***

These are sad events, but not unprecedented.  As I was telling a friend of mine, I can imagine an out of control crowd rushing to get scarce loaves of bread, or medicine, or any number of things that were once considered necessities for survival.

So the fact that the rush was on for electronics or toys, things that are nice but not necessary is a sign of increased prosperity.

Indeed, this was a case of “manufactured scarcity.”  Collectively, we decide to assign importance to certain items that really has nothing to do with our actual survival.  We will continue to breathe in and out whether we have that new computer or not.  Our children will love us whether they get the hot new toy or not.

A deliberate condition of scarcity was engineered and created by the stores themselves, to entice people to come in and act out of fear.  The media bought into it, with stories about the Black Friday sales and people lining up days before.

I remember attending one of these a couple of years ago.  We were at a Best Buy store in Connecticut at 5:00 am, thinking we’d be among the first to be there.  We were greeted by multiple police cars, dogs, television news trucks, and thousands of customers who arrived before we did.

That was the end of our Black Friday shopping excursions.  Never again.

As I said, the reatilers and media co-created the conditions that contributed to these deaths - along with us.  Those who lined up outside the doors participated in the frenzy.  We have choices in how we think, how we act and what we allow into our consciousness.

So with that, let me leave you with a few pieces of good news….

1. I predict a change in the way these sales are administered, and they may even disappear altogether.  The retailers and the media don’t just create public opinion.  They respond to it as well.  Walmart is no doubt reeling from bad publicity surrounding this event.  Black Friday sales are now associated with corporate and consumer greed.  No business wants that connection.

2. For every act of chaos, greed and desperation that occurred on Black Friday, there were hundreds, even thousands of acts of civility, kindness and generosity.  These weren’t reported in the media.

Doors were held open for senior citizens and children.

Children’s eyes lit up when parents bought special presents for them, and parents hearts melted with the reactions of their kids.

Strangers bonded in a shared sense of humor of the absurdity of the circumstances they were in.

Spouses had hot breakfasts waiting for their partners when they returned home.

Some minimum wage retail workers found a sense of dignity and personal empowerment in being assertive towards large groups of people.  Some of these same workers received more money than usual based on the volume of sales they processed.

And some of these workers experienced something unpleasant enough, it inspired them to ask for more out of their lives.  Somewhere on Friday a decision was made by a Walmart or Radio Shack worker to go back to college.

It really is a matter of where you choose to put your focus.  Three lives taken and an attitude of greed.  Or a self-correcting marketplace and many acts of compassion and grace.

I know where I’m choosing to focus!

Your Friend,
Larry
