SUMMER OPTIONS TO CREATE YOUR DREAMS AND SAVE YOUR STUFF
TAKE GIANT STEPS FORWARD IN GETTING WHAT YOU REALLY WANT
Two Options For Thriving During Tough Times
Anxiety. Stress. There’s lots of it out there. We’re in difficult economic times. It puts businesses at risk. It puts family finances at risk. It puts a strain on relationships. Let’s be real here. This is the kind of climate where people who aren’t strong are going to lose things that are important to them.
It’s also a time of courage. Hope. Opportunity. There’s even more of that. It’s all about what you choose to see.
And of course that’s all about how you choose to think.
I’m working with people who are experiencing prosperity like never before. They feel good. They’re getting richer. They’re experiencing more love, more joy, more healing in their relationships.
And it has everything to do with how they’re thinking.
Inspiration.
Here’s the problem: Jim Rohn said it best. It’s not about which way the wind is blowing. It’s about the set of the sail. Right now the wind is blowing hard. Many people are going to be blown away. Right out of jobs, businesses, even their homes.
Sorry…that’s not my doing. It’s just the way it is.
There are good people who are waiting for someone or something to come and save them. And in different times that may have happened. A new job could come along or a new “opportunity” could knock on the door.
That’s not gonna happen. Not in 2008. The weak are going to be consumed.
At the same time there are lots of people who are going to look back on 2008 as a time of incredible prosperity. Fortunes were created. Retirement accounts tripled. Relationships healed, or they found the love of their life.
Same economy, same conditions.
What’s the difference?
They got INSPIRED. They learned to THINK differently. They discovered their personal power.
NO MORE HOLDING BACK. They let out their greatness, and used to it to CREATE A LIFE WORTH LIVING.
I’m going to challenge you right now. I want you to get scared. I want you to see what your life will look like without any changes.
Is that job still there? Will your expenses be more than what you take in? Will you sink deeper into debt? Will you hang onto the stuff you have?
Yeah, I’m breaking you down like a Marine at boot camp. I want you to ask for help.
And I want to give it to you.
By the end of this summer I want you to be strong, courageous, attractive AND RICH, in ever y sense of the word.
That’s not going to come from the next big thing in home business, or a new job or eating canned food all summer instead of going out to dinner.
That’s going to come from getting INSPIRED, from being the ARCHITECT of your own life.
It’s what I did. It’s what many of the people around me have done. It’s why I laugh and feel gratitude when I see the prices at the gas pumps while I see fear in the eyes of the guy next to me.
OK, let’s get to it.
Two ways to change the arc of your life this summer…
1. Spend less than you would on a weekend vacation for four and Join me at Darryl L. Mobley’s HOW TO CREATE A LIFE WORTH LIVING BLUEPRINT WORKSHOP this summer in Austin Texas. July 24, 25, 26. In case you don’t know him. Darryl is responsible for helping to launch the fortunes of some of the richest, happiest, most loving people on the planet. He’s put together a list of elite trainers to help people move from fear to fortune. I’m one of them.
And I put together a bonus package for anyone who registers through http://LarryandDarryl. com. It’s actually valued at over $700, which is more than the tuition for the workshop.
It includes…
• The entire Larry Hochman book collection
• A FREE one hour telephone consultation with me.
• A one year subscription to the private NO MORE HOLDING BACK Community, which opens in August.
• (For the first ten people who register) a private evening MASTERMIND session with me at the event. We’ll supercharge your energy, remove blocks to your success and have you walking out ready to do ANYTHING.
2. Spend less than you would on two tanks of gas (do you really want to sit in that kind of traffic this summer anyway??) and join us at the NO MORE HOLDING BACK SUMMER TELESEMINAR SERIES.
Here are the details:
Two sessions. Six groups per session. First group to begin June 19.
Second group to begin August 9.
• Two options: Direct Participation and Listen In.
• Direct Participation includes one hour of full support, guidance and coaching from myself and other group members.
• Direct participants will be asked to share with and support other direct participants. Great practice for those who intend to be leaders.
• The format for the group will be the MAGICAL MANIFESTATION process I have used to create success and prosperity in the lives of my coaching clients and students for the last ten years.
• This kind of group has been shown to be effective at providing support, concrete solutions to problems and long term results.
• Tuition is $147.00 USD for Direct Participants, $77.00 USD for Listen In only. EARLY BIRD SPECIAL: $127.00 Direct Participation for those who register and pay by Friday June 6.
Two ways. Choose one, or both. Or choose neither. Live on that slippery slope and hope you don’t get knocked off.

As I’m sitting here this morning in gratitude for all I have manifested and all that I shall surely manifest in this next phase of my life, I have to laugh at some of the things I’ve pursued.
How many of us go after some external thing thinking it will be the thing that completes us? Could be a house, a car, a job, even a person! I see it everyday. I see it in the local public high school. If I watched any TV (except Iron Chef America) I’m sure I’d see it there too.
“Things would be soooooo much better if I only (insert name of thing here).”
Well, you won’t get it…ever. Because you’ve placed the thing over your inner guidance. Your sense of well being knows there is no thing that will give you peace, happiness or fulfillment.
And in that context, a person is a thing.
The feeling comes first. You are love. You are loved. You are here because it was your time to grow and learn. And when you’re done you’ll reconnect in entirely with your source.
And it just so happens you’re one of the privileged few who was plunked down into circumstances that easily allowed for prosperity. You were given a food source, relative peace and security. Hey, you were even given a computer!
You experience gratitude, excitement, and a joyful sense of the mystery. The things are merely symbols of what you attact. When they become the evidence rather than the objective, they show up.
That’s how you get “the thing.”
Now go be happy and find some things along the way!
Love,
Larry

Dear Readers in the United States,
As we get a day off from school for Memorial Day, I’d like to stop and be grateful for a number of things.
Since our country went to war in Iraq in 2003, the role of the military has taken on a whole new meaning. Having been a high school guidance counselor since 1992, I’ve advised thousands of students about different career options. Before September 11, 2001 I recommended the military as a great career choice for young adults who were ready for a military lifestyle.
The military has always been a fantastic way to get great career skills, as well as grow up quickly, see the world and get paid well. It is still all of those things.
But before 2001 many of us lost sight of the fact that the Army, Navy Air Force, Marines, National Guard and Coast Guard were also the lines of defense that kept us safe in a dangerous world. After September 11th, the meaning of being in the armed services changed.
For a long time after the Vietnam War ended, many people looked at the military as a way to carve out a career. Although people always realized there was a potential danger in joining, it seemed like a good way to begin a career. Of course, those days are gone.
Today when people join the armed forces they still do so for the career advancement and other benefits that come with it. But the potential danger is greater than it has been in the past. More than 2400 U.S. military personnel have killed in Iraq, with many more injured. One of my former students was badly injured last year.Is it worth joining up under today’s conditions?
Many people join the military for much more than career opportunities. They join out of a sense of duty to their country. They are grateful for the opportunities they have because they live in a land of choices. They join out of gratitude. They join to protect their homes and their way of life.
Many of us have opinions about whether or not we should be in this war in the first place. That’s not what this is about. Whatever your feelings are about Iraq and our role in it, please realize that this war is being fought by people who chose to serve - for many reasons.
On Monday May 29 soldiers, Marines, sailors and Air Force and Coast Guard personnel will salute those who came before them. They will honor those who gave their lives in past wars so that we have the freedom to live the way we choose. We are free to go to school, enter careers, build families, even crticize our teachers on sites like Rate My Teachers.
Without the sacrifices of these people, you and I wouldn’t have any of this. The things we take for granted are here because of the people we honor on Memorial Day.
Please take May 29 as a chance to honor those who sacrificed so much so that we can have so much.
Happy Memorial Day,
Larry Hochman
The God Squad
Thinking back to the mid 1980’s when I was in college. We had a group of guys who lived in the suite next door to us. They were born again Christians. Great guys. They played guitar, lots of fun to be around, you never had to worry about whether your room was locked when they were around.
We called them “The God Squad.”
It’s kind of funny when you look back on it. Besides the cool name these guys got, you really wouldn’t have noticed too many differences. The main ones: the prayed before eating, never swore and never threw up in the bathroom sink.
If you looked closer you also saw another dissimilarity. They had an air of serenity that most of the rest of us didn’t. We always seemed to worry about stuff - grades, girlfriends, lack of girlfriends, cars, etc. The God Squad was always in a good mood. They seemed more self-assured than the rest of us. At least this particular group of guys did. There were others around - the ones who got in your face and asked if you’d been saved. Some of them seemed to look down on those who didn’t hold the same beliefs as the others. Even then I could tell those guys radiated negative energy and usually repulsed the very people they were trying to attract.
The God Squad would just be. If you asked a question, they’d answer. They may even invite you to whatever place of worship they attended. But it always seemed like an invitation, not an ultimatum.
I admired The God Squad for their willingness to do what felt right, and the ease with which they did it. Unlike the other more aggressive born again Christians, no one made fun of the God Squad. They were among the most respected group of people in the residence hall. Not surprisingly (looking back on it) they also seemed to have the most attractive girlfriends, although not necessarily what we thought of as the “hotties” at the time.
With twenty something years of hindsight and some good life experiences, I now know The God Squad were really just some of the early practicioners of the Law Of Attraction. They used Christianity and the Bible as their frame of reference, and they focused on the parts that preach love, inclusion and acceptance of all people as God’s children.
I’m glad the God Squad was around then. They were great role models for me and others, not necessarily in what to do, but in how to be yourself. Saying very little, they actually said a lot.
For all you current God Squadders, keep up the good work. Be yourselves, and invite others into to your experience. The right ones will show - ready, willing and able.
How To Stop A Recession (Really!)
AN INVESMENT IN PROSPERITY:
How To Create A Life Worth Living
A FREEBIE FOR YOU:
Ten Day CRASH COURSE IN CREATION
Good Morning!
It’s 9:00 am on a Saturday. I’m taking a few minutes and putting fingers to keyboard and eyes on the screen. Then I’m going out and enjoying a marvelous combination of beautiful weather and material abundance. The weather was created by nature. The abundance was created by all of us (with nature providing the resources to help us along).
Our family is absolutely blessed. By any stadard, we live in a state of abundance. I went downstairs this morning after sleeping in a bed last night. Simply by that measure I’m ahead of the game. The fact that the bed was inside a house…a safe, warm secure dwelling made life even sweeter. I happened to wake up next to someone I love and who loves me. Perhaps the greatest of all.
When I came downstairs it was as if the Kingdom of Heaven was waiting for me. A refrigerator stocked with nutritious, life affirming food, such as the world has never seen before. A ready and running supply of clean water. Advanced nutritional supplements created by scientists who spent many years being educated so they could create these products for you and me.
A daughter who is earnestly reading at the kitchen table. I get a half smile of acknowledgment, then she goes back to her book. Perfect.
A laptop computer that gives me instant access to friends, business partners, clients and ideas from all over the world. And I in turn get to express myself to an eager audience in the next town and half a world away.
Who would have imagined this kind of abundance 100 years ago? It was unthinkable.
What do you think the world holds 100 years from now? The pessimists say one thing, and they create that reality. The optimists see something different and they walk in faith and joy into the circumstances that manifest prosperity. They work for it, they let it in, they harvest it.

I am happy to report this period in my life is one of financial abundance. We have created more wealth than we’ve ever experienced before. It allows us to do stuff, to buy stuff, to feel certain ways that are difficult (though not impossible) to feel without the cash flowing in.
It feels right. We’ve earned it. We stuided wealth, we committed to becoming the kind of people who receive it and we worked our butts off. We experienced the setbacks (there have been many) as learning opportunities, not tragedies.
And we continue to grow. Hey, the Wealth Train is just getting started!
And today we are going to play in the beautiful New England weather and take our prosperity out for a spin. Shopping, planning a home renovation, dinner out…all marvelous stuff.
So yes, I’m experiencing an overwhelming sense of gratitude and appreciation for everything we have. And I’m experiencing a desire to share with anyone who feels a sense of gloom about their economic position. Been there, done that, know a way out.
*** ***
I’m no economist, but my understand is recessions happen when people stop participating in economic life to the extent they were. They stop buying stuff, people who make stuff slow down, or even stop. The workers lose their jobs, or get their hours cut. Prices necessarily come down to stimulate new buying. New buying happens, optimism kicks in, more stuff and new ventures are created.
Sure that’s over simplified explanation. But essentially isn’t recession a psychological and emotional phenomenon?
Isnt it about FEAR?
Isn’t it about pesimism?
Isn’t it about running out of ideas?
Yes, high energy prices are taking a toll on daily life. Gas and oil have skyrocketed.
No, the sky is not falling. What a marvelous time to think differently, to respond differently, to capitalize on trends.
Where’s your new bicycle? Where’s your new carpool? Where’s your new Smart Car?
Where’s your family meeting to figure out ways to maximize your energy dollar?
I don’t know what makes sense for you in this environment. For many, making smart decisions about changing cash flow circumstances is a good idea.
*** ***
Here’s what I KNOW is a good idea for everyone, including you…
1. Experiencing a sense of gratitude, or at least appreciation for what you’ve got. And believe me, if you have access to these words right now, your cup runneth over. Focusing on your abundance rather than relative lack invites more abundance in.
2. Looking at your current cash flow and finding ways to keep it positive. What are you in a position to keep? What can be scaled back? What other ways are there to bring more money in? It might be a good idea to think differently than you have before. There is joy in any honest way of bringing extra loot into you and your family’s experience, from power selling on eBay to a second (or third) job to teaching fly fishing etc.
3. Even in lean times, make the most important investment there is. Invest in your own education. Get smart, get excited, keep the channels to abundance open. If that means attending the seminar, or hiring that incredible coach, or taking the extra college course, do it. Even if you don’t know where the money’s coming from, do it anyway. The Universe always supports those who commit to their prosperity.
It did for us. We pushed forward when you could see the cobwebs where the money used to be. We filled ourselves with hope, courage, optimism and faith. And the Money Train came in.
Now it’s your turn. The recession is in your head and your heart.
Invest. Create. Celebrate. You’re alive! You have your head, your heart and an amazing partner called God who’s right there with you.
Your Abundant Friend,
Larry
P.S. Darryl Mobley just cut the tution in half for HOW TO CREATE A LIFE WORTH LIVING, this July in Austin Texas. Seems like the perfect invitation to manage your resources and grow into the person who attracts EVERYTHING. I’ll be there teaching, training and entertaining. And I’ll be working hand in hand with those who register at http://LarryandDarryl.com.

P.S. That college he got his master’s degree from? You might have heard of it: Yale University.
“Calvin, Go Do Something You Hate.”
“Calvin, go do something you hate. Being miserable builds character.”
The words of Calvin the comic strip character, from Calvin and Hobbes, in one of the all time funniest examples of the medium, by Bill Watterson.
In the strip Calvin’s dad is looking for his glasses when Calvin walks in wearing them, doing his best Dad impersonation.
The last panel has Calvin’s dad a little embarrassed trying to justify to himself why Calvin sees him as a curmudgeon…
…and Calvin’s mom laughing hysterically on the floor.
Even as I type these words I’ve got a big cheesy grin on my face at the thought.
But think about it for a second! “Being miserable builds character.” Huh? Most of us take that statement pretty much as a truism.
We may not put it in those exact words, but the thought pattern is generally “if you want to get ahead, you need to be willing to suffer and pay the price.”
There is a little kernel of truth in that statement. Most of get ahead in life by moving out of our comfort zone…of doing things that don’t come easy to us.
But miserable? That sounds like a long time of suffering and despair. Yuck! That’s not what most of us sign on for.
Here’s my take on it…humans have an essential nature of seeking, love, excitement, challenge, and ultimately peace.
Our ambition is what separates us from our four-legged brothers and sisters.
Our true character is developed when we live lives of purpose, service and striving. Being miserable is what people do when they’re so unhappy that they don’t see a way out…
…or when they’ve lost their sense of purpose and become resigned to wallow in their own self-pity.
Working hard and developing your skills and patience builds character. So does being joyful, loving and grateful for the blessings you’ve received.
Being miserable doesn’t build character. Being miserable builds misery.
Do Something Fun!
Larry
